'm don lemon. we'll start with breaking news tonight. we're starting with two big news stories. the first one, a roadblock tonight in negotiations over the nation's debt. the president and the house speaker both making statements in just the past hour. we're going to tell you what they said. also an earthquake, a powerful one has hit japan. a tsunami warning has been issued and that's where we're going to start right now. the japanese coast that has just hit the hardest by the earthquake earlier this year is under a tsunami warning at this hour. it is a magnitude 67 quake. it struck off the coast just about an hour ago felt as far as away as tokyo. we're going to join to our meet yolgs vimpb ca brar. is this an aftershock? >> absolutely. it's a 7.0. this is an automatic thing that they do here in japan. when you get a 7.0, approximately 100 miles east of the coast, it was strong enough or it could trigger an earthquake in the united states. we think of it assay you have a tornado warning as a result of a doppler indicated cell. we don't know if the tornado is on the ground. same thing her

to bring in white house correspondent, and from cnn money. go big or go home. what is the republican push back? >> reporter: we're going to be finding out very shortly because house speaker john boehner will take to the cameras at 1:30 eastern essentially in the rebuttal to the news conference from the president earlier today. but the push back for republicans has been tax increases. you have republicans who have insisted on no tax increases, and democrats that insisted if there will be spending cuts, to achieve trillions of dollars in deficit savings. they don't want to abandon -- if there are going to be cuts to programs that are huge, they want to be able to say we pushed for sacrifices from wealthy americans and corporations. they are trying to strike kind of a just right agreement. because on one hand, you have a lot of republicans, and many of them who were swept into power in the last election saying we're going to cut spending and make government smaller, so the idea of tax increases, and certainly this is something a lot of them literally pledged they will not do, randi, it would

. they do, however, believe she's no longer in central florida. when she left the jail, you saw the big crowds there. there were people yelling "killer" in that crowd as she got into the suv and left. there is a great deal of emotion still unresolved around this case. we saw a lot of people getting together who were doing something peaceful with those emotions over the weekend. they went to the site where caylee anthony's body was discovered and held a march from that site to the anthony home. all to remember the child whose death started all of this. it was a very solemn occasion. a lot of people walking in the street. at one point it was reported there were cars lined up on the road about a half mile long of people just parking on the roadside going into those woods where her body was discovered to go to that spot and remember that little girl. again, a great deal of emotion. people trying to process all of this on their own. but casey anthony at the moment is still staying out of the public eye even though she has a lot of legal entanglements she will still have to address in the mon

're in for another deep rough patch, i think, they are getting very nervous about re-election. and, the big winner out of a grand bargain, would have absolutely been president obama, because, the not only would things have hopefully improved but he also could take credit for making a really big grown-up decision. going forward, though, you know, in two years, or actually, in one year, now, next year, after the election, it is hard for me to see how republicans will not actually be in a better position, even if they don't win the white house, there is a good chance they'll win the senate and almost certainly still control the house and i think republicans will be in a tremendously strong position, to get the kind of deal that speaker boehner went in there looking for, but clearly was not going to get from the white house. >> jamie: charlie, seems like those dismal job numbers may have changed the imperative for the house white house. how close are both sides to accepting the proposal that vice presidented by eb was able to negotiate and is that all we need? will it get us where we need to be with r

. where is casey anthony at this hour? that is the big question that people want the answer to. the lawyers were successful disguising where she went in the overnight hours. even the press not able to keep up with her. cameras shooting this video of casey anthony walking out of the front doors of the orange county jail at 12:11. wearing pink me low shirt, hair in a bun and the primary defense attorney jose baez right by her side. they got in a motorcade, a gray suburban, a cream colored tahoe and white follow-car and drove directly from the location to a bank of of america building in downtown orlando, not far from here, where her other attorney has an office. they went in covered parking garage and pulled a bait and switch. the suv never emerged from the parking garage, but others cars did and it's not clear which one that casey anthony was in. we can tell you around the same time there was police activity across town at a private airport. a private plane was fuelled up and ready to go on the runway, but nobody saw casey anthony boarding the aircraft. officials telling us it w

think speaker boehner has been very sincere about trying to do something big. i think he'd like to do something big. his politics within his caucus are very difficult. >> well, here's what he means. in a new poll, we see the complicated political caucus they are dealing with. the number of americans who are very concerned about default has ticked up seven points in the last two months. then it was just 35% believe not raising the limit and risking default was worse than raising it and potentially spurring more spending. now 42% see greater risk in a potential default, 47% are more concerned about lifting the limit but the gap has narrowed. that gets you talking about the education of the public in the last two months. look at the republican side. the folks who have been more engaged in this debate since the outset, the numbers have only hardened. 66% of republicans are more concerned with raising the debt limit compared to 60% in may. that number rises to 75% among republicans who identify with the tea party. so this is the issue. and speaker boehner has said he would only raise the d
